TLC Select was created in response to
many community residents who felt the
corporate church, though profitable to
the community, was disconnected from
the community. Bishop Gwin delivered
the message to the church body and it
was agreed that to adequately connect
with those outside the church, a new
outreach approach was needed. It
was further believed that this outreach
ministry, along with its spiritual focus,
should also embrace the community
socially, politically, and economically.

This endeavor has provided a genuine link between the church,
community, and the University of Illinois. TLC Select has 5,600
square feet of space with a seating capacity of 200. TLC offers a
warm and elegant environment for a variety of inspirational events. In
addition, we currently provide novelty gifts, life enhancement
programs, banquet and catering services, along with Sunday dining.

In 1996, Bishop Gwin was divinely led to a property located at 508 -
510 North Neil Street in Champaign. The building, which had
previously served as an office supply store, had been vacant for
nearly a year. Bishop Gwin shared part of his testimony, "I had driven
by the building on many occasions, but one day I felt the Holy Spirit
leading me to park in front of the building, get out of the car, lay
hands on the building, and claim it as the site for our new outreach
ministry. I had never done anything like that before, but God honored
my obedience." Shortly after that experience, the church purchased
the building, completely renovated the property and God gave birth to
TLC Select Enterprises, Incorporated.

TLC Select provides quality services and products, at unbeatable
prices. It is the determination of this entrepreneurial ministry to raise
the standards, goals, and expectations of all who embrace it.
